Our Class learned about the history of the inauguration and watched our new vice-president and president being sworn in to office.  Each student in class wrote about the inauguration in their blogs.  Some students focused on the events of the inauguration, while others wrote about what it means to them to have an African American president.  Check out their thoughts on their blogs by clicking on their names on the right hand side of the blog.  Take a moment to share your own thoughts on their blogs.

Our 2nd grade Enrichment class has been learning how to summarize fictional texts.  Students chose their favorite story and will summarize the story in this post. 

Students make sure to include the title of your story.  Remember that a summary only tells the most important main events or ideas in a story and is much shorter than the original story read.
